PTI Introduces New Seal-Sensor Ultrasound Inspection System at Interphex for Non-Destructive Pouch Seal Testing
Tuckahoe, New York (April 9, 2010) - PTI Inspection Systems will showcase the new Seal-SensorTM Offline Seal Inspection System at the Interphex Show, April 20-22, 2010 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York , NY in Booth 236.
Seal-Sensor is the newest addition to PTI's Seal-Scan™ line of non-contact ultrasound inspection systems. "Seal-Sensor technology can be used in both offline and online applications to inspect pouch seals and produce real-time results," stated Tony Stauffer, president. "Non-destructive and non-invasive, the Seal-Sensor performs a linear scan (L-Scan) of the seal which takes only seconds and presents the quality of the seal as a pass/fail result. This is a very rapid, reliable method that provides an instant reading of seal presence and quality. In lab applications, operators can scan pouch seals automatically with the Seal-Sensor to verify seal quality. Seal-Sensor is also ideal for in-process/100% inline seal inspection for production environments."
Seal-Scan ultrasound technology has proven to be a very successful non-destructive inspection solution for many types of pouches and flexible packaging. Seal-Scan detects common pouch seal defects that can contribute to poor seal integrity and affect product quality, sterility and shelf-life.
